Mitterand D. Jean-Francois
Mitterand Jean-Francois is the founder and presiding attorney of the Lincoln Law Group, LLC. He earned his juris doctor from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law and is the proud recipient of the prestigious William P. Cunningham Award for exceptional achievement and service. His achievement followed a highly decorated military career and service to the business community as an accountant and auditor. He previously earned a Master of Science degree in accounting from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Science degree in international business from Strayer University, the latter achieved during his military service.
Background
His legal expertise includes a background in trial advocacy, Family Law, Tax Law, and Personal Injuries. He represented families with complex divorce and child custody matters. With the most sought-after background in Tax Law, he has represented clients with tax controversies with the Internal Revenue Service and the Office of the Controller of Maryland. In addition, he possesses a wide-ranging background in fighting for personal injury victims. He is well versed in strategic business structuring for proper financial and tax reporting for new and existing companies. His financial and tax experience stems from his past service as a staff auditor for the Massachusetts Office of the State Auditor and senior accountant for national specialty cheese manufacturer Schuman Cheese, formerly Arthur Schuman, Inc.
United States Army & Marine Corps Veteran
Mitt is a highly decorated veteran of the United States Army and United States Marine Corps, earning the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service, and the Army Commendation medals. He reached the rank of captain, twice serving as a commander in battle. He was called upon to lead highly complex, sensitive missions and with his advanced strategic and tactical expertise, he developed and managed complex processes to secure intel about and defeat enemies.
A resident of Towson, Maryland, Mitt enjoys spending time with his son, Justin, as well as gardening, dance, and international travel.
